September 2005 (League Match)

Gordon League elected to go up the slope in the first half and with clean line-outs were quickly into their stride.
Gavin Rea’s left footed unorthodox kicking style put away his first penalty conversion for the League after six minutes.
The Yatton side never seemed to settle and were made to resort to desperate defence on more than one occasion in the first quarter.
On the half hour a player from each side was yellow carded as frustration boiled over on the introduction of ‘no boots on players in a ruck’.
Yatton had attacking opportunities in the remaining ten minutes of the first half but they came to nothing.
Two quick penalties towards the end of the first ten minutes after the turnaround edged the League further in front and it took until the 65th minute for Yatton to break through from good hands in open play as No 7 Captain Chris Harris touched down and Sam Osborne converted.
Basic errors and lack of awareness still littered the game. Gordon League were able to clinch a safe victory as two more penalties fell to Rea’s 100% record in the games final five minutes.
